Frequently Asked Questions

We know you may have a few questions before bringing our products into your kitchen. Here are some answers — straight from us to you.

Section 1: Product Information

Why is the color of the wheat flour brown?

Our flours are unbleached, so the color comes naturally from the grain. The darker the flour, the higher the protein content in that wheat — which means more nutrition and goodness in every bite.

How is your flour different from supermarket flour?

Supermarket flours are usually roller-milled, which makes them fine but also removes a lot of fibre and nutrition. We stone-mill our flours slowly, in small batches, so all the fibre, flavour, and aroma stay intact. The result? A flour that’s hearty, wholesome, and closer to what our parents and grandparents grew up eating.

What is the difference between Khapli flour and regular whole wheat flour?

Khapli is an ancient wheat variety, low in gluten and easier to digest, with unique nutrition. Our regular whole wheat flours are also high in protein and fiber but differ in taste and texture.

Do you sieve your flour at all?

Yes! We do, but we aim to keep as much natural fiber as possible – it’s better for your digestion and health.

How are your lentils different?

We keep our lentils unpolished. A lot of mass-market dals are polished with oil to make them shiny. It looks nice, but it strips away fibre and nutrients. Our lentils are just as nature intended — earthy, wholesome, and full of goodness.

Do you use preservatives or additives?

Never. What goes into the pack is exactly what comes from the grain — nothing more. That’s why we make smaller batches, so everything you get is fresh and pure.

How long do your flours stay fresh?

Most of our flours are best enjoyed within 4 months of milling for optimal freshness.

How can I store my flour and lentils?

To keep your flours and lentils fresh for months, store them in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight.

What can I cook with your products?

Endless possibilities!

  • Whole wheat / Khapli flour → soft rotis, breads, cookies.
  • Millet flours → gluten-light pancakes, rotis, porridges.
  • Lentils → comforting dals, khichdi, soups, or even hearty salads.
  • And if you’re ever looking for inspiration, we share recipes regularly on our website and Instagram.

Section 2: Atta4Europe

What is Atta4Europe?

Atta4Europe is our signature multigrain flour, stone-ground in Ireland and crafted for modern European lifestyles. It’s a nutrient-rich blend of whole wheat, horse gram, amaranth, and oat bran — all chosen for their protein, fibre, and health benefits.

Why did we create Atta4Europe?

Because we wanted to bring the goodness of traditional Indian multigrain flours into modern European kitchens. Atta4Europe is our way of blending heritage with today’s lifestyle — wholesome, nourishing, and made locally so you enjoy authentic nutrition without compromise.

How is Atta4Europe different from regular wheat flour?

Unlike plain wheat flour, Atta4Europe combines multiple whole grains and ancient pulses. This gives it:

  • Higher fibre (better digestion & satiety)
  • More plant protein (supports vegetarian diets)
  • Added heart & gut health benefits (thanks to oats and amaranth)
  • It’s a healthier, well-rounded choice for everyday cooking.
What can I cook with Atta4Europe?

You can use it just like regular atta — rotis, parathas, breads, even bakes. The multigrain blend adds a slightly nutty flavour and a more filling texture, perfect for balanced everyday meals.

How fresh does it stay?

For best results, enjoy within 4 months of milling. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry spot to keep it fresh.

Is Atta4Europe suitable for everyone?

Yes — it’s 100% natural, vegan-friendly, and made without additives. Its blend of grains makes it a great fit for health-conscious families and those looking for a more nutritious alternative to plain atta.

Section 4: Nutrition & Dietary Information

Are your products gluten-free?

What health benefits do your products offer?

Our flours retain natural fiber, minerals, and protein due to stone milling and minimal processing. Khapli flour is especially good for gentle digestion, while our high-protein grains support balanced nutrition.

Are your products vegan?

Absolutely. All our flours and lentils are 100% plant-based and vegan-friendly.

Do your products contain any allergens?

Our core range is flours and lentils — no nuts, no dairy, no hidden ingredients, and no allergens other than gluten. We also store products separately to minimise any cross-contact. For other product ranges that might contain allergens, they’ll always be clearly declared on the packaging and on our website.

Not yet. Everything is freshly milled and packed in our facility in Navan, and delivered straight to your door.

Do you import your flours from India?
